The United Adjusters America group was founded by Mr. Russell David Prisco in 2001. Mr. Prisco who has been an auto body and mechanical technician since the age of 16, Starting at ground level, washing cars for more experienced technicians. Quickly rising through the ranks of body technician to management. Mr. Prisco also found it profitable to advise other industry leaders not only how to present an exceptional product but also how to maximize their profits.
In 1991 Mr. Prisco was welcomed into the field of claims handling. Working as a claims field appraiser for several years admittingly presented some challenges but the need for industry change became inevitable thus propelling Mr. Prisco into the corporate world as proprietor. Mr. Prisco decided to start an appraisal company with the client and customer in mind. Mr. Prisco’s first priority is to protect clients payout costs while assuring customers service.
Also, The idea of creating affiliations between appraisal companies instead of the traditional competition also became a desire. In late 2003 Mr. Prisco launched the opportunity for other industry leaders to utilize the independent field appraisers under the control and guidance of the United Adjusters Group for a modest fee with the agreement that the United Adjusters Group organization will be allowed to share the same from our affiliates. The agreement for I.A owners to utilize each other’s field representatives became successful and our Network affiliates in numerous states are now expanding their own coverage area making them more desirable to insurance carriers.

In 2014 Mr. Prisco was offered the opportunity to part with the company that he has created, to several west coast affiliates. Despite long term negotiations, a sale was eventually agreed upon and finalized in July of that same year with a three year non compete agreement in place. Honoring this agreement eventually ended in late 2017.

Mr. Prisco decided to continue in the business that he has adored during his lifetime. In finding that the United Adjusters America llc name was released in 2016, it was decided to secure the original company name once again. With the Companies original Name in place and seeing the void in professionals handling specialty units, Mr. Prisco and the teams new direction is to only specialize in Commercial Trucks, Recreational Units, Farm Equipment and other specialty units. Presently the companies coverage area remains all of the state of Connecticut as well as parts of the state of New York.
